In the spirit of giving and togetherness, Pecca Group Berhad hosted a heartwarming Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house titled “Syawal Smiles Raya Open House”, held on Friday, April 18, 2025 at Pecca Group’s Headquarters in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur. It was a beautiful evening of celebration, where the office compound was decorated with Raya decorations and lit up to fill in the festive mood. Besides celebrating the auspicious celebration, it is also a night of charity and giving back to the community.
Pecca’s staff which consists of Pecca Leather Sdn. Bhd., Pecca Aviation Sdn. Bhd. and distinguished guests participated in the event bringing festive joy and smiles to the faces of children from Rumah Kasih Harmoni.
The orphans from Rumah Kasih Harmoni were treated to a sumptuous dinner, with the collection and arrival of the children as early as 5.00pm. The excited kids were entertained with performances by a clown and lots of fun-filled activities in the evening, before the ceremony officially starts. The Raya Open House welcomed the arrival of staff and esteemed guests including the Board of Directors, signalling the beginning of a truly meaningful gathering.
The event commenced with a “doa” recital, followed by welcoming remarks from Mr. Hugo Teoh, the Executive Director of Pecca Group. In the act of serving corporate social responsibility, compassion and kindness, Mr. Teoh handed over a mock cheque to representatives of Rumah Kasih Harmoni, accompanied by a touching photo session that captured the joy and gratitude shared by all.
The event then proceeds with a sumptuous buffet dinner spread which was served to everyone, giving everyone the opportunity to enjoy delicious Hari Raya delicacies and local food. Throughout the night, the atmosphere was further enlivened by a series of lucky draws, with over 60 prizes to give away in total, keeping spirits high and smiles wide.
The night also featured a touching performance by the children of Rumah Kasih Harmoni, showcasing their talents and joy in being part of the celebration. As a gesture of appreciation and care, Datuk Kelvin Teoh, Managing Director of Pecca Group, the Board of Directors and those with higher ranking within the organisation personally handed over hampers and duit raya to the children, a moment that truly embodied the generosity of the festive season.
After the children’s departure, the entertainment continued with performances from Pecca Group staff, energising the crowd with creativity and camaraderie. Special recognitions were also awarded, including the Best Attendance Award, which acknowledged both local and foreign team members who showed strong participation throughout the 2024 calendar year.
The evening concluded with a thrilling Grand Prize Lucky Draw, and at 10:00 PM, the event came to an end leaving behind cherished memories, strengthened bonds, and a shared sense of purpose.
The “Syawal Smiles Program” was more than just a festive gathering—it was a powerful reminder of the importance of giving back to the community with a compassionate heart.
