PECCA WELCOMES MARii FOR AUTOMOTIVE SMART MANUFACTURING BADGE PROGRAMME (Auto-SMART)
Kepong, 13 May 2026 – Pecca Group was pleased to welcome representatives from the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii) to its facility in conjunction with the Automotive SMART Manufacturing Badge Programme (Auto-SMART).
As part of the programme, Pecca participated in MARii’s assessment initiative, which evaluates automotive industry players on the adoption of smart manufacturing practices, automation, digitalisation, and Industry 4.0 technologies. The initiative supports Malaysia’s National Automotive Policy (NAP) and the ongoing transformation of the automotive sector towards a more advanced and technology-driven ecosystem.
During the visit, Pecca hosted a factory tour for MARii representatives, showcasing its manufacturing processes, production workflow, quality assurance systems, as well as ongoing initiatives in automation and digitalisation within its operations.
Through the Auto-SMART Assessment, Pecca gains a clearer understanding of its current Industry 4.0 maturity level and identifies potential areas for improvement, particularly in automation, system integration, and intelligent manufacturing. These enhancements are expected further to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and overall competitiveness. Companies that achieve the Smart Factory rating are awarded the Auto-SMART badge, which recognises their capabilities and strengthens credibility within the automotive ecosystem.
