Kepong, 13 July 2026 – Pecca Leather Sdn Bhd is proud to announce that the company has been awarded the Auto-SMART Level 3 (1-Star Badge) under the Automotive SMART Manufacturing Badge Assessment (Auto-SMART) Programme, an initiative by the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii) under the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI). The award was presented during the Badge Recognition & Closing Ceremony held at the Kenyir Ballroom, DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya on Monday, 13 July 2026.
The recognition reflects Pecca’s continuous efforts in enhancing its manufacturing capabilities, strengthening operational excellence, and embracing smart manufacturing practices in line with Malaysia’s Industry 4.0 agenda.
The Auto-SMART Programme assesses automotive manufacturers based on their readiness and implementation of smart manufacturing principles, covering areas such as leadership, operational efficiency, digitalisation, quality management, sustainability, and continuous improvement. Achieving Level 3 (1-Star Badge) demonstrates that Pecca has established a strong foundation in these areas and is committed to further advancing its smart manufacturing journey.
